I am not a massive festival-goer – I hate mud, insects and generally being dirty – but I have been to a few in my time. This week I was fortunate enough to get a free ticket to Port Eliot Festival in Cornwall (I am not allowed to tell you how I got my ticket, but I attended the festival with one of the artists – which was amazing!).
It is a fantastic venue for a festival, set in the grounds of St. Germans estate, with trees and hidden passages everywhere. You can relax with Pimms by the river, watch a film deep in the woods, listen to a reading inside the walled garden and indulge in delicious food (the fudge is dangerously good).
I can’t explain just how beautiful this festival was, it had something for everyone with animal parties for the children, a whole wardrobe selection for fashionistas, cookery classes inside the mansion, and discos for true party people.
Oh, and there was also a room full of dolls wearing Christopher Kane, Erdem and Alexander McQueen. What more could you want?
Just a few of the lovely things I saw there….
