This autumn I’ve been obsessed with brocade. It’s an offshoot of the Eastern invasion that took most fashion houses by storm this season. Japanese brocades have been used in everything from pantsuits and girlish mini-dresses to sporty jackets and elegant coats.
This style has been driven by the design houses of Jill Stuart, Jason Wu, Marchesa, and Proenza Schouler.
I will happily wear brocade anything but I’m particularly fond of brocade pants. They can add a touch of glamour to any outfit; this design takes print-wearing to the next level. I love the decadent feeling of these trousers, and the fact that you can team any brocade pants with a simple black top and still look stylish.
What do you think to this trend?
