My body loves food

erNot eating enough nutritious food affects muscle development and energy levels. It can also have an impact on your skin, hair and nails.

I know that it’s impossible to eat healthy food every day of the week, I often have days when I overindulge but I know that I can’t do it every day.  I don’t diet but I avoid creamy sauces, and red meat. And I don’t buy chocolate as I know I’ll eat it in seconds.There are very few women who are 100% comfortable with their body. I have issues with my tummy – who doesn’t long for perfect abs?!

But I’m not going to suggest that we all go on a crazy diet in an attempt to reach body perfection. Instead I’ll reiterate the obvious and suggest that we all maintain a balanced lifestyle, because let’s face it no-one wants to give up chocolate, cake and crisps forever!

Balance is the key to success. Enjoy treats every now and then but overindulge on fruit and vegetable as often as you can. For me the best way to do this is by experimenting with your food; I love to create crazy dishes full of chopped vegetables with chilli and garlic. A Mediterranean medley is the best in the summertime. For this you just need a chopped red onion, tomatoes, olives, two chopped chillies, basil, garlic, diced sweet potato, chopped yellow pepper and  some green beans to brighten in up. Simply throw it into a dish in the oven for 45 minutes so it all roasts and then enjoy it over rice. After all of these delicious vegetables you don’t have to feel as guilty about having an ice cream.
